Introducing MIRRORCLE-CV4

The MIRRORCLE CV series products are perhaps the most revolutionary in the Photon Production Ltd. They are the smallest X-ray converter magnet system designed by Photon Production Laboratory and are characterized by the following unique attributes:

Ultra compact design that is fully self contained and includes integral radiation shielding. Product is designed as a ready to use appliance like device for on site and field applications.
Elegant permanent magnet system designed for reduced weight and power consumption as well as enhanced reliability through simplicity.
Comparatively lower energy range output spectrum resolves radiation shielding problems while operating in a close quarter environment.
Output spectrum and physical geometry oriented towards high resolution phase contrast imaging.
Low cost with high performance makes it suitable for many new cost sensitive entry level applications.

MIRRORCLE-CV4 was designed with the capability of forming part of a field based mobile non-destructive testing platform. Shown below is an example truck based configuration with MIRRORCLE-CV4 capable of performing NDT inspection of bridges, buildings, and other structures normally inaccessible to this type of testing.

Like with other MIRRORCLE products, X-ray output is highly dependent on the interchangeable target positioned in the electron beam inside the X-ray converter magnet system. This is a very active area of research and most likely existing product will be able to take advantage of future target improvements. The graph below shows the output spectrum of MIRRORCLE-CV1 and MIRRORCLE-CV4 using different materials for a particular physical target configuration.
